T3 started designing only three months before the pandemic started. So the result really reflects the needs for WFH and hybrid working. The office is set up for flexibility and remote working. The design features open (and closed) concept work areas, meeting rooms of various sizes, lounges, focus areas, quiet space, meditation pods, and 400 sq.m cafe (with terrace).
T3 opted to use sustainable materials for many of the fittings, including biopolymer flooring made from discarded and recycled fishing nets, renewable textiles and more. For their meeting rooms, T3 chose Half Cove shingles and Diagonal acoustic panels. Many of the products present in the space are reused from Contentful’s former Berlin workspace.
Frame Magazine about T3’s design for Contentful: “The key is variety: it’s hard to imagine that a single employee has the same experience as another on any given day in the office. At the same time, individuals also have the option to shake up their own go-to spatial itinerary if needed or wanted. By looking at agility in terms of design and programming, T3 gives Contentful’s team members the freedom to have a truly customizable experience at work.”
