Coöperatie VGZ

A campus-inspired workspace where acoustic panels carry both visual and functional weight
Office Eindhoven, Netherlands
by Rever Interieurprojecten
Coöperatie VGZ

When Coöperatie VGZ moved to a new office in Eindhoven, they used the opportunity to rethink how people work. Trading in two-thirds of their original floor space, the new setup is built around a sustainable campus concept with pavilion-style workspaces that offer areas for quiet focus or collaboration.

The material choices reinforce that concept. Each pavilion reads as a small standalone building, and the finishes were selected to support that impression while also adding acoustic comfort to the open space.

Panels that read as architecture

Each pavilion is clad in Acoustic PET Felt Panels in Coconut, cut in a brick pattern that gives the surfaces the visual impression of a building facade. The soft texture absorbs sound while the grid motif connects the pavilions to the wider architectural language of the interior.

Balancing structure and softness

The geometry of the panels sits in deliberate contrast to the softer elements that characterise the VGZ identity: natural tones, curved glass, and the presence of plants throughout. Acoustic PET Felt Panels form part of a wider material palette that supports both the acoustic and visual qualities of the interior, contributing to a workplace that feels cohesive and comfortable in daily use.
