Is PET Felt certified?

All our products are tested for acoustic performance, emissions, and UV resistance. Various certifications are available upon request. For more details, please contact our sales team.

Do the panels have an adhesive layer?

No, they do not.

Is PET Felt suitable as a floor?

No, since the chance of damaging the material is too big.

Is it possible to get custom-shaped PET Felt products?

Of course, we can make any shape and design. Get in touch with us for a custom-made PET Felt product.

Can Refelt precut the panels?

Of course. Get in touch with us about that.

Can PET Felt products isolate sound?

Our products are made to absorb and dampen sound so that its reflections within a space can be significantly reduced. However, PET Felt cannot fully block sound.

Where can you have Acoustic PET Felt panels installed?

Any space needs good acoustics — restaurants, hotels, (home) offices, meeting rooms, etc. Having a wall and/or ceiling, which absorbs sounds, can improve everyone’s experience and well-being. You can theoretically install PET Felt on any wall. If you are not sure, contact us or find an interior builder, who can assist you.

What is the best acoustic solution for my situation?

As every room and situation is different, we recommend getting in touch with an Acoustics expert. The general rule states that a minimum of ⅓ of the wall needs to be covered to improve the acoustics.

What is Sound absorption value

The αw value (weighted sound absorption coefficient) is a single number that indicates how well a material absorbs sound. It runs from 0 to 1, where 0 means no absorption and 1 means complete absorption. The higher the value, the more sound a material absorbs and the less it reflects back into the room. It gives a quick, comparable indication of acoustic performance across different products and materials.

Can I order custom ReFelt products?

Installation

How can you install PET Felt?

You can download the installation manual at the productpage.

The general tips are:
1. PET Felt panels have a front and a backside. That’s because the fibres are differently oriented. Always lay out the panels before you mount them. - 2. To install the panels, we recommend using a polymer adhesive sealant, such as Bison Poly Max High Track. The advantage of using this one is that it does not immediately get hard, so you can still make adjustments while mounting. The kit is not included with the panels, but it can be found at any construction materials store. - 3. PET Felt panels can also be mounted with a tackler and headless nails. The nails can barely be noticed, you can see small holes only from really close.

Does Refelt provide mounting material or other tools needed?

No, but you can find suitable ones at any construction materials store.

Can Refelt help with the installation?

No, Refelt does not install any PET Felt. We advise you to get in touch with an interior builder in your area.

Can you provide me with product instructions for costum orders?

In order to best utilize ReFelt PET felt panels it is recommended to review the different ways that they are processed and fabricated. Please mail us at sales@refelt.com to recieve the instructions with all the necessary guidelines.

Care & Maintenance

How resistant are PET Felt products to impact and wear?

Since PET Felt is made of recycled plastic bottles, it can withstand a lot. PET Felt is also impact resistant. However, the material should still be handled with care, so do not place it somewhere humid or dirty, as this will make it wear out quickly.

Shipping & Delivery

Does Refelt deliver worldwide?

Yes. We deliver to customers around the world and you can order directly through us. Contact our sales team to discuss delivery to your location.

Does Refelt has PET Felt available?

Yes, Refelt theoretically has all PET Felt colours available, with Standard and Refined panels always in stock for swift delivery within 48 hours. Occasional delays may occur for certain colours.

What is NOOS?

NOOS (Never Out of Stock) refers to our Standard and Refined collection uncut panels, which are always in stock. For customers in the Netherlands, orders up to €2.500,00 (excl. VAT) ship for €70,00. Existing customers pay after delivery. Orders above €2.500,00 are delivered free of charge. For bespoke or larger orders, tailored support is available.

What are the delivery times?

Our usual lead time is 2–4 weeks, including delivery. Uncut panels from our Refined and Standard collections are part of our NOOS (Never Out of Stock) programme. NOOS orders within the Netherlands with a total order value up to €2,500 (excl. VAT) can be delivered within 48 hours.
