Sustainable Learning Environment

The new Staring College building was designed to accommodate a variety of educational programs for over 320 students. With clusters dedicated to subjects such as technology, healthcare, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, the building creates a well-organised and functional learning environment. Sustainability was a central focus during the design process, guiding the careful selection of materials to meet both functional and environmental goals. As part of this approach, 12mm Melange Acoustic PET Felt Panels were installed along the upper walls to enhance acoustic comfort and complement the building’s modern design.

Durable Materials

The panels align with the project’s vision because they are made from recycled plastic bottles. They provide a practical solution that combines functionality with sustainable design principles. Their neutral and timeless appearance allows them to integrate seamlessly into the space while maintaining long-term effectiveness. By incorporating materials like ReFelt’s panels, Staring College successfully integrates its educational objectives with its commitment to sustainability.
