Tracks to Workspace

This former factory for locomotives and water turbines has been transformed by Plats! designbyrå into a contemporary workspace. The 80-metre open hall preserves its industrial bones while pine wood, natural materials, and textiles add warmth. Blue accents flow through the space like canal waters, from the waterfall-inspired stepped seating to the wave-patterned guest lounge.

Acoustic comfort

Above the workstations, PET Felt Wave Acoustic Baffle s create a sculptural ceiling landscape, controlling reverberation while celebrating the hall’s soaring heights. Radial PET Felt Pendant Lamps float throughout other spaces like soft beacons, absorbing sound while casting warm light. Together, these acoustic elements transform industrial echoes into comfortable soundscapes, creating focused zones where ideas flow naturally.

We’re so happy to have used Refelt’s products, since the room height and open structures was quite a challenge. By using the ceiling baffles we could bring some peace and quiet to the rooms, both visually and acoustic wise, but still preserve the grand expression of the building.
