A thoughtful transformation

Het Oversticht, an organisation focused on spatial quality, heritage, and sustainability, is based in two listed warehouses in Zwolle’s city centre. As the buildings no longer met modern standards—and with more hybrid working reducing the need for space—Natuur en Milieu Overijssel joined them on-site. Studio Groen+Schild and the project team, the renovation balanced functionality and sustainability with respect for the buildings’ historic character.

A space that connects

The ground floor now serves as a vibrant hub for collaboration. A communal café and meeting rooms flow openly together, encouraging connection and exchange. Our Streets V-Cut acoustic panels in beige were chosen for the central wall above the seating area—subtle yet striking in their geometry, and adding texture as well as acoustic comfort. Made from recycled PET bottles, these panels reinforce the story of renewal that runs through the entire renovation.
