In their move to the Kennedytoren in Eindhoven, Coöperatie VGZ reimagined their working environment with insight, bold choices and an integrated approach. Trading in two-thirds of their original floor space, the new setup focuses on health, connection and longevity. Core principles are brought to life through the sustainable campus concept, developed by Rever Workplace Innovators, which promotes a flexible and people-centred way of working. Within this concept, pavilion-style workspaces are spread across the building, offering employees areas for quiet focus or collaboration.
Each pavilion is clad in a brick-patterned finish using Acoustic PET Felt Panels in Coconut, creating the visual impression of small standalone buildings. This choice not only supports the campus atmosphere but also introduces a clever acoustic layer within the open space. With a soft texture that mimics stone, the panels bring warmth and tactility while absorbing sound. The panels were custom-cut in a grid motif that echoes the architectural language of the building. This recurring pattern extends into the structural beams and climate ceilings, creating a cohesive interior design.
This structured geometry offers a balanced contrast to the softer elements that characterise the VGZ identity. Natural tones, curved glass panels and the presence of plants soften the strong architectural outlines, helping the spatial design reflect the organisation’s focus on people. The PET Felt panels form part of a wider material palette that supports both the acoustic and visual qualities of the interior, contributing to a workplace that feels both cohesive and comfortable in daily use.
